Let me preface by saying that I am by no means a network administrator and was only doing this as a favor.
I setup a small network (6 computers, mixed Win2k/WinXP) running in domain mode under Win2k Server SP4.
The W2K server is acting as DHCP, DNS, DC, and file server.
Everything is tied through a 8 port switch through a router and with cable as the ISP.
Everything works great, except for Windows time service.
First off, I cannot get it to sync with an external time server although I am port forwarding (port 123) to the server. It just never syncs (plus it always speeds up).
So I figure, since I can't sync externally, I'll use the internal clock, but that fails as well.
It will speed ahead about 10-20 minutes per day, much like when I tried externally.
Of course since the server time is all screwy, all the PC's on the domain sync with the DC and theirs are all screwy as well.
Any clues as to what's going on?
