So I recently upped the clock on my CPU after lapping the IHS and adjusting some RAM timings...Orthos seems pretty stable so far (at least at the 2.5 hr mark), but I get these random speed spikes:

What's causing this? My HTT should is set in BIOS to 290 MHz, which approximately equals a clock speed of 2.75 GHz with a multiplier of 9.5x. However, it spikes to as high as 342 MHz during Orthos.

It's about 50-52C load during Orthos with my Freezer 64 Pro at half RPM and all case fans at 50% speed ish. I have a 120mm intake, 2 92mm intakes, 1 92mm exhaust via fan adaptor, and a 120mm side exhaust...the Earthwatts doesn't really do anything for the airflow and it gets fed mainly by the 120mm in the upper drive bays.

If its stable then its probably fine however look in the bios and see if cool n quiet is enabled if it is try disabling it. also does it do that at any other ht settings?
