It’d be cool to read a review on ‘bionic’, the new slew of hardware, including two years of updates on an all new MacBook Pro design without a single review, deep dive or even subjective write up, other than hand’s on experience @ Google or Apple’s events. I’m bored w/MoBo and Power supply reviews.
I’ll continue checking in but it’s been a while because of this choice. I ended up back four pages of stories to catch up with and unfortunately, nothing iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro or iMac Pro. I own a pair of 15” MBPs, a 2012 and 2015. Both are running exceptionally, no issues but I’d like a backup, as the 2012’s worked daily for 5 ½ years now. Curious how objectively they compare. I’m not going back to Windows, but recently set up an HP Spectre, 15” w/512GB SSD & 4K display (touch), as well, a pair of legacy and one new 3.1/Tbolt USB I/O, Damn nice computer
But other than the shopping guide and ‘best ofs’, no new computer, smartphone or tablet writing, hate to leave but it’s gotten so far away from Anand’s site, there’s other options... though none that’ll ever compare to the dozen page objectively supported reviews, w/a subjective “Final Words” page. I definitely understand, as a 30 year broadcast vet, I completely understand budget and time constraints. Just seems like the majority of reviews today are for such a niché group of folks, they’ve abandoned the masses (between new iPhones, Google Pixels, S8 w/S9 on the way as well, apparently a pretty nice new ‘Note’ they’re gonna sell well over a hundred million phones in the last quarter and upcoming one.
Wonder how many 1070i Founder Editions will be sold ...or ASUS MoBos?

Anyway, sorry to jump into the soap but this is EXACTLY an answer you’d have in the first page of an Anand iPhone 6s or Note 5 or 2015 MacBook Pro review.

Good luck to the team though, hopefully Brian can wrap up soon and write up some compelling reviews. I’ll check in once in a while. Just not a daily site for me any longer

J
