Clock generator and P3V4X?

The chip that is located next to the cpu slot is the clock generator. At least that is what I have been told before. Anyways, I put a temperature diode on it and I am getting 93-95 degrees off of it. Is this too high? I put some grease on it and I think it helped. I didn't get the temp before I put on the grease, but has anyone else measured temp of the chip?
 
Not to pop your bubble but its the horizontal mounted chip just to the right of the memory slots up near the top lock lever of the memory slots...(down about an inch...)

PS dont touch it while the board is in operation unless you need the #`s off of it which will permanet on the end of your finger... 😉
