Clock broken with Windows Update?

My clock using Windows 98 SE has been staying consistent for over a year until those last few Windows Updates. Suddenly its losing synchronicity with the motherboards clock all over again. Anyone else notice this?

windows keeps its own time after you boot up. so it could be anything.

just reboot and all is well.
