The BMW car club magazine, Roundel did a test comparing the CLK, M3, 911, and the italian entry level car ;).

They tested the handling, acceleration, braking, comfort and ergonomics.. but the interesting thing is when they come to the 360 Modena.

"You can buy three M3s or two 911s for the price of a Ferrari 360 Modena and have a far chunk of change left over. For all that money, the Ferrari will only give you about a half-second 0-60 time, so is it really worth it?"

"After driving the 360 Modena back to back with the other three cars in our group, we realized why Ferraris are so special and so coveted."

"Every time I tried to make a comparison with the other cars, I just kept coming up with, 'There is no comparison'"

"The Ferrari out-shifted, out-braked, and simply out performed all of the cars that I have driven"

The 360 Modena is in another league altoghether. It responds with immediacy (and here comes my favorite part) and feels like an extension of your central nervous system."

Doesn't that just put a big smile in your face?? :D

Screw buying a house. Buy a ferrari, stick with 2 bedroom apartments. ;)

Nothing looks classier than a Ferrari parked outside a 2 bedroom apartment.

IMO the joys of driving a Ferrari are limited to the small percentage of drivers who have the experience and education to fully comprehend the subtle nuances of its performance characteristics. In all other cases, any pleasure derived is more pyschological than physical, and comes from that partiucular individual's perceived empowerment over others rather than any enlightenment caused by the driving experience.

In addition, for the many aspiring millionaires (and this may surprise some), Ferrari's, Lambo's (and especially Vipers) are regarded as low brow working class toys, not real vehicles of the social elites. They are acceptable to have only as weekend playthings. The vehicles that are real popular (for some strange reason) with them are the Renntech, Brabus, etc. modified benzes.

True. I know for sure that the majority of Ferrari are used to attrack chicks, not beating time records.

Pity them. I can understand Rolls and Bentley, but modified Benzes??? Most rich people knows sh1t about sport cars and performance driving anyway..

The rich with automobile knowledge goes for a 6 million dollar 250 GTO.

...or you could buy a Viper ACR and destroy those cars (the 360 would own it in the corners though, but the other two would have a tough time overcoming it) :D

Ferrari's own. Everything you took from the article sums up my feelings on them. Of course, having never driven one myself (seen many in person), I have no right saying this in absolute, but I can believe what I want.

This is a fact. BTW, is anyone in here married? Obviously not. I don't even have to explain.
