Picked this up for $10 Canadian at Futureshop.ca this past weekend... best $10 I've every spent! This game very very cool... not as scary as some reviewers said but still nerve recking. Graphics are awesome, sound is awesome, gameplay is fun (although very linear... what fps isn't!?!). For anyone in Toronto right now... head over to FS and pick it up for $9.99... i've had more fun with this game then RTCW and MOH... maybe I just like to get spooked! off-topic... I saw Resident Evil and Blade 2... go see Blade 2... Resident Evil sucked bigtime! Blade 2 was better than Blade. Later.
 
I agree with you. I have been praising Undying for a long time. Very, very, good game. Not enough people give it the credit it deserves.
 
I bought it at $15 but on my old 866 with GF2 it was quite chunky. Hoping the new rig can handle it! We'll find out if I ever get it installed...
 
That game was the first game I've played that is truly scary. If you guys remember at the beginning with the ghost in the mirror....yikes. Excellent game.

Well I just got into Undying. My own weapons (eg. freeze gun) scares me. 🙂

Question: are there areas where monsters constantly spawn in short order? I swear in one chapel where you get the priests key to open his little closet there were unlimited amounts of undead priest guards that attacked me. I just bailed after using everything I had into a "load door". Argh.
 
Ya, great game. I originally played it with my P3-1G GF2 combo, I just reloaded with this P4 2.1G/GF3 and the performance really improved.
I never noticed any spawning per se, I think the amount of enemies goes up with the diff level.
I'm surprised this game wasn't more popular, it was a long game, good effects and sound, etc. Maybe due to the particular genre?
 
Wow, almost picked this up at COSTCO yesterday for $9. Will have to go back tomorrow. Thanks guys. Another game along with System Shock 2 to scare my little relatives. Reviews look good at pcgr.com too.
 
Awesome game. Played with my GF 5 yr old every day until we finished it. Still his favorite game to play with me. Hope they come out with something similar or even a sequel.

All that was needed to kill it was the use of spells. The FPS crowd sees "spells" and "FPS" and immediately bails. That and the horror setting. They probably thought it was an adventure game. They need the reassurance of chainguns, rocket jumping and the like or they won't buy. 🙂
