Clipping a PDF to web-ready image

Hi,

So I need to find a way to clip a big PDF files into itty bitty parts so I can put those parts up on a website.

I could use a screengrabber, but it probably wouldn't be the optimal resolution. And I'd need to compress the files further for web-bandwidth reasons.

Any suggested programs?
