It just so happens MaximumPC is reccomending a lapel mic in their new November 2006 issue. Radio Shack Model 33-3013 Lapel Mic. $26 @ www.radioshack.com. Dont know if its any good but if you like MPC reccomendations then there you go.

Using a Zalman mike - ain't the greatest, but it does its purpose - and it's only ~$7

The Zalman mike is crap. Personal experience. Died in about 2 weeks.
