Clinton White House axed terror-fund probe

The Clinton administration shut down a 1995 investigation of Islamic charities, concerned that a public probe would expose Saudi Arabia's suspected ties to a global money-laundering operation that raised millions for anti-Israel terrorists, federal officials told The Washington Times.

The more I hear about Clinton, the more I want to puke.

Obvious to the most casual observer Clinton is an out of control adult/kid who was in way over his head while he was getting head and lots slipped by his sham administration. The seeds of terroristic destruction was sown during his admin.twice implemented on the WTC with ultimate success on 9-11-01. I'am shure as time goes by more of Clinton's neglligence will surface.

it goes farther back then that, carter and reagan didn't do all that much to route out terrorism. mostly what they did was confirm that terrorism against the US worked.

and as for clinton, i'm sure the republicans that spent the entire time trying to undermine him did nothing to help our national security. The selfish bastards acted not out of the good of the country, well that is plainly obvious.

Reagan seemed to make quick work of Libya and put Quadaffi back in his box. He also sent US Navy fighters to intercept the airliner that was carrying the Achilli Loreau(sp) highjackers to what they thought was safety.
Bubba was the only one that smacked down the FBI midstream in a terrorist investigation.

yes reagan did bomb, but he also pulled out after the barracks were bombed. the terrorists got what they wanted. just another in a long chain of events certifying terrorism as an effective tool against the united states. i'm too tired to dig up more.

Just like how Dubbya is placating the Saudi's now?

You know, there could have been reasons that Clinton did this, but I wouldn't expect the Washington Yellow to point them out. Perhaps the Saudi groups that were a target were influential with the government (or actually a part of the government). Perhaps we could have lost the ability to station troops there if the parties were exposed.

Then again, a rational explanation like that wouldn't allow you people to continue your Clinton bashing.

Yeah Reagan was a real joy for those of us who don't like terrorists.

Like when he sold arms to Iran to free hostages/pay to support some really questionable types in Guatemala.

Or when the american marine camps were bombed in beirut, and he did the absolute worst possible thing he could do--pull out--thereby teaching I think it was Hezbollah that suicide bombings are effective in changing policy.
