Clinton responsibility on Enron

Neither had responsibility?

Bush, Governor of Texas, with interests in oil/fuel/energy industries, had no idea and recieved no support from Enron's corrupt business practices?

Can you prove it any more definatively than Clintons ties to Enron?

Did you want to post some proof that President Bush or President Clinton had an idea that Enron was basically a shill?

Must people always be digging this guy up? Jeeze people, let him go away.

Did I suggest I was being comparative?

Bush was 100 miles away from it.

I didn't imply it's Bush's fault Enron was designed to make people money.

I do think it's strange that Enron gave Bush 18.2 million dollars, significantly more than any other company.

People repay debts, you know. People give others favors.

Dude, it is the administration that appoints the chairman of the S.E.C.

And that shows personal management of the situation how?

More flame bait.

Regardless of who did what politically, the ax falls on the company, and the corrup CEOs, CFOs. IMO, those SOB's should be taken for every cent they have and it put back into a employee Recompensation fund for all the lost 401Ks.

And I don't honestly believe that either Clinton or Bush would let pass a company that was cooking the books as much as ENRON or WorldCom if they new about it. Do I think that a politician might have had a hint that something was screwy? Sure, without hard facts from an insider, or the SEC, there's nothing Clinton or Bush can do directly. Passing the Corporate Responsibility act or whatever it was called, IMO, is all they can do to fight it.

More then one person turned a blind eye to Enron.....but it's the bastards at the top and none other that are at fault.

WorldCom, Enron, Adelphia....and let's not Forget ARTHUR ANDERSEN.
