Hehe... Went to a pub for a beer and a sandwich... ended up spending approximately $36. He then left without paying the bill, which I assume is a right that the President enjoys. The funny part is... the owner of the pub bitched about it! What a DICK! He makes more money in a day due to Clinton being there, and he bitches abut the $36 it cost him. Not that I like Clinton, but I don't like cheap mofo's either...

Because he's president, and the owner of the pub must have made big time bucks. I'm sure every other pub in Britain would gladly have Mr. Clinton come and eat free stuff. And Mr. President's pockets aren't as deep as A-Rod's
 
Huh. Apparantly the President doesn't even carry a wallet, credit cards, etc. (The movie &quot;The American President&quot; is accurate in this regard and uses it to great effect.) Generally the Secret Service will take care of any bills . . . I don't know how many bar tabs they've had to settle up in the last hundred years, though. LOL. 😀
 
So what's new? Clinton hasn't been paying his way in the States for 8 years....Nice to see there are Republicans on the other side of the pond...LOL!!! Sue him!😛

Apparently one of the Clinton aides offered to pay the tab... The pub owner turned it down, then bitched about it. Sorry to the british peeps I might offend with this statement, but GOD I hate snooty british peeps. They have been pissed off ever since we kicked their arses in the Revolutionary War.

BTW, how DO English history books account for that war?

Although I generally enjoy shots taken at Clinton, the British suck. I also read that the guy refused payment but then bitched about it later.

I am glad to see Clinton trying to do something about the Northern Ireland situation. Being Scotch-Irish, I firmly believe that the British need to GTFO.
 
Clinton is the president of the US, he has absolutely 0 authority in the UK. He is just a turist there. Why on earth should he not pay for what he orders for? Why in the world is he anything more special than the average joe in the UK?

The Pub owner profited by having Clinton there, as he used it as a method of publicity. Had he gained nothing from Clinton's little visit, and had he not offered to pay anyway, this would be a different story; in this case, it's not Clinton that is being the sleazeball.

The pub owner was a prick though. I guess he expected Clinton to stand there and count off $36 for him. Like he has time to do that. He probably didn't have any Brittish currency on him either. There is staff to handle that, so the guy should have taken the money when offerred, or shut up.

Now that I think about it, this pub owner just might be one smart SOB. A Clinton visit nets him, what, a couple days publicity for his business? But, raising a stink over the tab should extend that by at least a week or two.

He is no leader of the free world, he is the PR guy for the western world, he is just a leader of one country, he is not the leader of UK, he is not a leader of anything more than the US.
