I just heard on Headline News that Gore confronted Clinton after the concession and blamed Clinton for him losing the election. They said that Gore said that the sex scandal and all the BS he pulled hurt him by affiliation. it also mentioned that Gore will have to "mend" the relationship with Clinton if he plans to make another run for the whitehouse (not likely anyway, I think). Yow. I wish I could have been at that meeting! :)

<< According to the Post, a senior White House official close to Clinton scoffed: "I don't thing the fact that they lost four out of four debates had anything to do with Bill Clinton." >>

DAYAM! :) Clinton is a dirty bastard! Apparently, according to the stories, they are not on speaking terms, and neither are their respective followers/aids/etc. Apparently, the loss really pissed Gore off, and he burned the bridge between him and Clinton (arguably STILL the most influential democrat int he nation)

<< And sources told the Post that former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta is angry that Gore aides have allowed Clinton to take blame for damage left in the Executive Office Building, even though most of the mischief took place in the vice president's office. >>

Clinton's people blaming the whole destruction thing on Gore. Cool. They've turned on each other

I have it on good authority that's not what happened at all.

Gore dropped by to see Bill. Bill wasn't wearing his glasses & thought Al was an Amazom from the past. Bill dropped his pants for Al to see little Willy.

Then Al said to Bill... "Don't you ever stop ? That's what got us into this mess to start with !"

clinton and his wife showed their real side in the last days, the pardons, the gifts, the $700.000 per year office space, the list goes on and on,not to mention the trashing of the White House be the retreating dems.

Gore shouldn't be blaming Clinton for his loss. If he wasn't such a stiff he probably would have won handily.

I'll 3rd that, and add.

If Gore had asked Clinton to campaign for him, he would have won even more easily. With all of Clinton's faults, people still like him, and Gore made a mistake by asking him to stay out of things.

Yep, Gore was being such a tight-ass...Clinton would have won this one for him hands down.

But, that's in the past time to move on.
