Clinton changes her tune. Vetting immigrants is no longer racist.

Of course her tune is that she been a proponent forever of strong vetting of immigrants. Funny, I could have sworn that she's been calling Trump a racist for stating the very same thing. Well you know how it is with Clinton. She sticks her moistened finger in the air to check which way the wind is blowing. Then when she feels comfortable where the polls are, she'll tout what her views are. And then we are supposed to believe this potential liar-in-chief has always held these views. She always been in favor of gay marriage, right?

Is she worried that innocent people across the globe are being subjected to jihadist attacks every 83 hours? Or is she worried that people are starting to believe Trump that Obama's policies of not protecting the public, are a threat to the safety to themselves, their families and communities. No, it is more like it is a threat to her being elected president. Time to change the tune of embracing jihadist moderates, and start turning sharply to the right. Screw the progressives! Hard right!

Clinton in New York yesterday: "I am absolutely in favor of, and have long been an advocate for, tough vetting for making sure that we don’t let people into this country,” Clinton said yesterday during a presser in New York. She also said we need to have stronger vetting of those who “settle into our country” and “we need a better visa system.”

Are these racist statements? If you say no, how is Trump a racist for long advocating tough vetting?

She was probably informed that her dead-stupid claims that Trump's rhetoric inflames perfectly innocent Muslims into the batshit insane terrorists liberals know and love, were going to cost her horribly.

Lol, Clinton. Just telling people what they want to hear before she goes and does whatever makes her the most money.

I don't think anybody called him a racist for his vetting comments. They've called him a racist for the multitude of other flatly racist things he's said.

You wrote a whole lot of words yet said absolutely nothing true or interesting. Impressive!

Vetting isn't racist, bans on religion are. One candidate proposed it, the other person didn't.

This is what a rep for the Clinton campaign actually said:

"This so-called ‘policy’ cannot be taken seriously. How can Trump put this forward with a straight face when he opposes marriage equality and selected as his running mate the man who signed an anti-LGBT law in Indiana? It's a cynical ploy to escape scrutiny of his outrageous proposal to ban an entire religion from our country and no one should fall for it."

Sorry op, but this thread backfired.

Yeah, who does Trump think he is, Hillary of five years ago who was against gay marriage? LOL
I used to be against gay marriage, that it would be better if government got out of the marriage business altogether. But then I realized that that wasn't a realistic position. And that's what intelligent people do; recognize their mistakes and then work to not repeat them.
But the problem here is that it's not like Trump has had any recent epiphany. He's known all along that he was never going to ban all Muslims or build a wall or any of that shit. He's just been telling people what they wanted to hear so they'd vote for him. And when he starts telling other people what they want to hear so that they vote for him... well, he's hoping that you don't notice, don't care, or don't remember. It's all Hillary's fault anyway, right?

He's reaching for any vote he can at this point.
He's a fucking circus clown. It's not his ideology that bothers me quite so much as his tactics. He intentionally appeals to the basest in people in order to manipulate them. Politicians might be lying shitheads, but at least they usually try to present some great positive unifying vision of America. Trump sells only fear and hate, a distrust of anyone considered to be "other," and that these "others" are unworthy of basic constitutional rights, even when those "others" are actually American citizens.
The American people would be wise not to reward him for that.

Uh, she's never been against vetting. Period. Full stop. Hell, we're already vetting them now. What has been called out (as already pointed out several times) is the total ban on muslims that Trump has proposed.

Hey OP, please quote where Clinton said that vetting immigrants is racist. Until then, your thread is a waste of time.
