If you have a local Galyans sporting goods store, they are usually $1 there. Some Costco's also sell a 24 bar package (8 Chocolate Chip, 8 Crunchy Peanut butter and 8 Chocolate Chip Peanut Crunch) for $20ish.

Not bad- Trader Joe's also sells them for $.99/ea.

Need to find a coupon.

Power Bars with more protein and fruit layer are 99c at HEB in Austin, and some new bar called SOY something is 74C. Havn't tried the latter, but IMO PowerBars with the fruit layer taste better than Clif, even though they both taste slightly better than crap. Still a really good deal if you like them though.

I happen to really like the Clif Bars. I like their Luna bars more but they are 1/2 the weight for the same price.

If anyone can find a better deal on Clif, please post them. There's no coupon for Amazon.com right now- the only real deal here would be to buy 2 boxes and then something $16 more from the Kitchen store to get the $20 gift-coupon.

Thanks for posting the deal. Unfortunately, I ate too many of these things last summer and now I can't even stand the sight of the things. I've been using PowerGel lately.

Lol. I have this thing with the Carrot Cake bars. I must be protein deficient or something, because I can't stop eating them. Something about the soy chips they use. I'm lactose intolerant, so these are pretty much the only sports-bars I can eat.

yumm, carrot cake bars. that cool mint ice and cherry apple are my favorites. I stopped buying the costco pack because they aren't in there anymore.

Just a quick head's up about CLIFF Bars, they are wheat and dairy free. I think they taste great, but wheat and dairy cause a lot of people to suffer as far as their health. Not everyone has problems with wheat or dairy, but for those that do, CLIFF Bars are a great treat, without all the grief. I'm a trainer, and a recommend Cliff bars to ALL my clients, they are much healthier than some other bars, IMO.:)

Clif bars are nutritious, and certainly more tasty than most other "lactose free" sports-bars.

Don't be fooled though- these little things are calorie packed, well over 200 calories each. If you eat enough of these you are going to gain alot of weight in a relatively short time. I purchased 50 at 1/2 price and easily put on 10lbs in 2 weeks, even though I run on a daily basis.

LOL same thing happened to me. I ate a ton last summer (Chocolate brownie) and now I can't even look at once. I had a whole box of 36 of them that I just tossed in the garbage because nobody would eat them.

i think I've tried just about every clip, and luna bar flavor. most of them are pretty good, better than power bars. My gym pretty much stopped carrying power bars after we start selling clif bars. if you guys ever find something called "cup of gold", try it, you just might like it.

Problem is with these is if I buy the box I'll probably go through them in a relatively short time. $1 for 2.4oz is alot of money, and I usually go through at least 4 at a time.

Must...not...buy...must...not...

Ate three a day for three months (hiking the PCT). I ate a number of other things as well (Ramen, Lipton Noodles, Beef Jerkey), and the only thing I can still stand are Clif Bars. I guess that is a decent product endorsement. Hell, they sponsored us, I guess that's the least I can do. ;)

If you're a COSTCO member, a 24 bar box with this same flavor breakdown costs $18.59 + no tax in CA.

To be honest, I become kind of tired of the peanut component that is such a majority in these flavors.

Well, if I could get them this cheap elsewhere I would go for other flavors. I do like Peanut and Chocolate, that and Carrot Cake would be a good mix.

Unfortunately there are really no good deals to be found on Clif mail order. I used to get them for like $7.50 a box when E-Nutrition was around. Good times...
