This is starting to get just downright annoying. No matter what, if I click on a link that is supposed to play video (except the ones where video is embedded in the page) it gives me a DNS error. Like if I typed in a bad url or something. Not a huge big deal, but annoying nonetheless.

It started when I ran windows installer cleanup (I had a problem with installing programs due to a screwy program that I had uninstalled many weeks before I decided to run windows installer cleanup). It fixed my problem (I was trying to install Direct Connect and the installer for a program called bandit sight, a plugin for asheron's call kept coming up and not letting me install it because it couldnt find the source) but then video links stopped working.

I tried resetting all of my file types (mulitmedia ones, that is) to play with windows media player, and even reinstalled IE and SP1 for IE6.

Im stumped. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance!

PS- Im using Windows XP Pro

Couldn't decide if I should ask my Linux question or bump this. Can you guess which one won? :D
