Clicking noise from Subwoofer

Infinity PS-12 subwoofer

It's occasionally making a clicking noise when no low frequencies are being passed to it (like when I play WoW and I'm not doing anything) it just clicks fast then stops, and might return.

If I play music or something along those lines it stops..

Any ideas? It used to be on a power bar, so I hooked it directly to wall and that didn't help

you sure it is not turning on and off?

Sounds like a auto power off feature in a state of hysteresis. Sometimes noise gates will do that. Is there something nearby like a cell phone or WAP that could be injecting rogue RF into the lines?
