Clicking Hard Drive

I have a 37gb WD Raptor as my C drive.
I have another 37gb Wd Raptor as a drive to run programs off of.
And I have a 200gb IDE hard drive for storage. One of them makes a clicking noise for about 3-5 secs then stops. All the hard drives work after the clicking. Nothing freezes or anything. I need to determine which drive is going bad so I can replace it before I loose data. is there a way to find out which one does it?

I ran a CHKDSK on each. And nothing happened. Would like to know where to start with this. Thanks

IMO, Backup your drive that's clicking or take it out and use it for external storage. Clicking is like a minor warning before the major crash.

I asked if there was a way to figure out which one was clicking. I have three, and can't tell which one is clicking by the noise. SO I was wondering if there was a test I could run or something. I have a replacement for it, I just don't know which one to take out.

Disconnect the other two and reconnect 1 at time. IMO, time is the only way to zero in on problem.

If you can't do it by ear, then use something like a stethoscope to find which is squawking. A empty papertowel roll may work.

Thank you..im just going to back up important things and when one starts acting up performance wise i will switch it out. Thanks much

use a screwdriver and put the handle end part hard up against your ear, and the steel blade corner on the drive metal tops
