CLEP Questions

For anyone who has taken the CLEP Exams, how hard are the actual tests? And how much effort does one really need to put into studying for and passing the exams, specifically the Biology test?

I'm asking because I'd like to receive credit for some core courses which would allow me to complete a Double Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science in a shorter amount of time, and I wouldn't have to kill myself with scheduling.

Can't help ya specifically with Bio, but I always was an A+ student in English* so I went in cold and aced the English Comp 1 and 2 tests to get out of those. Just based on my experience, if it's a subject you normally ace with little effort you should do perfectly fine in CLEP'ing it...

*Note for the Grammar Nazi's: Internet message board posting ain't got nothing to do with my mastery of the language. 😀

I always thought that clep was harder, because it gives you a bunch of abstract problems, that you would really need to know the material if you want to pass it.

In a classroom, the teacher will give you types of problems and build you up, until the test day, and you will have an idea of what kind of problems are on the test.....

in clep, you just have to "wing it."

If you think you know your material very well, then I would say to go try it.
