ClearText FTW

I just turned on ClearText yesterday, and at first I thought it looked worse, but after a few hours, hot damn, it looks very nice. Running on a 30" LCD, BTW.

I've never used a display where I can't see the color bleeding out of the text using ClearType, so I prefer the approach by OS X and Ubuntu.

Turning on cleartext feels like having an eye exam. I just tried it, and my eyes just started watering the moment the text changed.

Wow. I almost forgot how ugly Windows fonts like Arial are without ClearText enabled. How can you folks stand looking at that?

Thank you. Another useless technology that I hate and am happy to have had disabled by default.

There is much science behind this and its FAR from useless. However, NONE of the science took place at MS, i have no clue how they can patent, or trademark, or whatever "ClearType (R)(TM)(FOO)" there are at least a handful of peerreviewed papers on this.
