I was a bit sick a few days ago, and it was raining mucus over here. Now I'm feeling much better, but my nose is still kind of stuffed up, forcing me to breath with my mouth open and making my voice all weird. I tried running a little bit, and that kind of did the job, but it was kind of hard only breathing through my mouth.

So is there like a better way to do it?

Dimetapp Elixir, before they pulled it from shelves. :| That stuff worked wonders on my allergies.

Go take some sudafed, & then in 1/2 hour or so take a hot shower.

I second the hot shower. The hot moist heat will open your sinuses right up. If you're going to take Sudafed, you might want to try the Sudafed Sinus ones instead of the regular stuff. I found that the Sinus ones work better, but the regular stuff might be fine for you.

Wasabi. Seriously. For a quick fix, put a little dab on your tongue...your sinuses will be clear for awhile.

Dimatapp Elixir was amazing. One of my friends who has worse allergies than me (I didn't think that was possible ;)) stocked up on the stuff before they pulled it from the shelves. I still have about a half a dozen tabs of that stuff I'm saving in case I get a bad cold. :)

I would KILL for a few bottles of that stuff. A bottle lasts me a long time, but I have found NOTHING else that came ANYWHERE close to being as effective. Damn the stroke risk, I WANT DIMETAPP!

Deeply inhale some hydrochloric acid or bleach, clears the sunbitch up in a flash. ;)

They don't make dimetapp anymore? I just bought some a couple days ago.

Dimetapp makes other products I'm pretty sure, but the nasty tasting grape Elixir was what specifically worked for me. I hated the taste of it, but it was the best I'd found for both a cold and (most importantly) the allergies that I live with all the time.

Get some 15M Ammonia solution from a chemist, and inhale some of that. That'll clear up your sinuses real good.

Oh the Elixer...I'm talking about the pills. Those are gone, I'm sure. I loved the taste of the Elixer when I was a kid. Tasted like grape Gatorade. :p

Get some of the saline nasal spray. Use it a couple of times
a day, especially right before you shower. That combines with
the steam will loosen things up. It's also non-addictive.

Go to a Thai food restaurant and have a full meal. It'll work wonders. And unlike some other posts I'm serious - really spicy food does wonders for your sinuses.

Heres another home remedy.

Take a glass of milk and then drink a really big mouthfull, leaving lots of milk in your mouth and throad. Then take a strong vacuum clean and attach it to your nose. Suck out everything! Sometimes if you use 7Up or other things, you get different effects. Oh, make sure you use a wet/dry shop vac. Otherwise, the bag in the vacuum cleaner will start leaking snot.
