clearing history in IE?

the only places IE keeps stuff in C:\WIndows is:

\Cookies
\Temporary Internet Files
\History

is this right? or do they put stuff in other folders also? TIA

You may also find a thing in C:\windows\temp\, but this is rare.

It is probably better to empty the temporary files by going to tools: internet options and clearing the history and deleting temporary files.

Even if you delete \Cookies they will still be in \Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files but just not active.

You can go to Accessories -> System tools -> disk cleanup... it will clean up your temp. internet files for you... I find that folder tends to get quite large quickly...
