clearing dust from pcs. i want to clear out dust from my pc w/out screwing anything up. can i just use a can of duster or is this a bad idea? if there are some correct techniques which prevent damage etc, i'd love to hear them. (i'm willing to bet there probably isn't, for this isn't rocket science..but hey, better to be safe than sorry)

thanks!

I think a vaccuum (tube attachment) is a better idea, but there is some concern of static discharge ?? (Not sure myself)

Yes, dusters are great for dusting.. unplug everything, take the box OUTSIDE before you remove the lid, then start blowing that bad-boy out. - I wish I had a shekel for everytime I got all impatient and proceeded to blow dust all over the damn room. :frown:

Probably but I've always used my shopvac. I don't care. Never had any problem.

I'll second that. I use my house vac w/the fuzzy brush on it. Just be GENTLE; dont' slam the brush into anthing and you'll be fine.

What works well for the PS is holding the vacuum right on the exhaust fan of the ps and then either blowing into it (or using compressed air) from the inside. Blows the dust out and no mess. :)
