Does any one know how to configure the documents folder in windows 2000 to prevent shortcuts from being stored in it
for example if you open a word doucument you can then click on the start menu go to documents and there will be a link to that word
document you opened
 
right-click on task bar, bring up properties-advanced, and clear the document link.

or to get rid of the documents menu add the following key


[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoRecentDocsMenu"=dword:00000001
