What are the BEST settings for cache management and clearing cache (whether to automatically clear or not upon closing of browser) when using Firefox on a Linux Mint operating system computer, i.e. should the browser be allowed to do this space management itself or should a manual figure be entered to limit the space appropriated to the cache and should the cache be cleared automatically upon the closing of the browser or should it NOT be cleared automatically upon closing of the browser ?

Thanks.

Xubuntu user here. With Firefox I find it better to set the offline cache size manually because when left in automatic mode it was not caching more than a megabyte (WTF). There must be some bug somewhere, but too lazy to investigate it or file report.

As for clearing or not clearing on closing, that is entirely up to your need for privacy. I do not delete cache on close because I want the browser to be able to cache static content and thus be quicker to load my frequently visited sites.

Hmm, I'll give this a try later today. Then again I haven't thought I was experiencing any loading issues and I have FF clearing house upon closure. Then again I rarely will leave LM running for more than a half day.
