clearing ALL the event logs

tried this

but having a problem.
this wont work when I save the one liner as a bat file or a cmd file. The command window appears and disappears rapidly when I right click on the bat file and ask it to run as admin. Even when I open a command window as admin and type in the name of the bat file I get nothing-just two prompts.
but pasting the code works??

If it's for windows 7, I use the batch file found in this thread:

Clears everything quickly.

It's the same as the one I used except it's not a one-liner. I'm using win 8.1

It didn't work for me in 8 or 8.1 either. Only Win 7
