They took over our local alternative station here - which was actually pretty darn good. Now the sucky thing is that it's the same damn channel that was piped into Steamboat, Aspen, Vail, and Breckenridge when I worked there . . . argh.

If I have to hear "Ethan's little contest" again I'm going to bang my head against the well.

i hate clear channel. at least its hard to screw up sports talk, which is the only of their stations i listen to here. we still have an independent station, LBJS, here in austin. though everything else seems to be clear channel.

15?!? I wish! If they played that many songs in an hour, they wouldn't have time for their 2 10 minute commercial breaks, and all those annoying station identification breaks with the weird noises saying how great their station is

Our CC classic rock station is pretty good. Well except that they play too much falsetto(Rush, Foreigner, Boston, etc.) and 80s music(Tom Petty, etc.), but other than that, it's cool.

It's this stupid trivia thing they do with this awful song that goes "ethan's little contest, ethan's little contest, ethan's little contest" over and over again. Then they have a trivia question that is usually idiotic, and don't even have people call in - they just give you the answer after some commercials.

Back home in Ohio the local Classic Rock station is a Cumulus station. Cumulus does a pretty good job (with the exception of axing half of a great morning show team, still mad about that). I've never heard much good said about ClearChannel though.

They do suck. They put on Danny Bonaduche(sp?) in the mornings. Thank god for the selection in LA (Stern, Mark & Brian, Kevin & Bean).
