EM radiation is not ionizing, and is VERY likely to be benign, especially with the low levels that the PC outputs. My advice on staying away from radiation sources:
avoid sunlight - many kinds of radiation there, some of which are proven to cause cancer
avoid concrete
avoid TV's and CRT's in general
avoid power bricks/wall wart power supplies
don't get too close to flourescent lights

Moral of the story - I wouldn't worry about the little bit of non-ionizing radiation that computers produce. There still aren't any conclusive studies to say that these fields pose a health risk.

My case (see sig) interfered with my monitor which is above it CRT through 1" of wooden shelf. BUT when I finally got round to installing fans on the outside of the case it all went away. Moral of the story is......... dont know just thought it was interesting

The real problem is RF interference.

Even that is overblown. I tested my rigs while open with a radio scanner to find RF interference. What I found was noticable RF intereference for no more than 18 inches in a directional pattern over the CPU.

No matter what, remember, the inverse square rule is your friend.

Heh, you have a greated chance of getting hit by a stray cosmic ray than getting cancer or something from a windowed computer.

I have the same case as Mingon (w/o the koolance). Not really concerned about a health risk, unless it catches fire, which creates very toxic smoke.
