Clear window for my ANTEC SONATA

I don't believe they are manufactured like for Antec's other cases. The Sonata is meant to be silent and windows increase noise.

Darn, I was afraid of that. How hard is it to cut your own window into a side-panel?

You can buy kits if you'd like to. This guide has some nice tips and tricks, like putting masking tape over the case panel so as not to scratch it. It doesn't look too hard. If you happen to do this, post some pictures and let us know how it went! I'd like to get a Sonata sometime in the future...I bet a window mod would look great!

I can't imagine why one would take a classy looking case like the Sonata and butcher it with a window.

Some people have wierd tastes.

<-considering buying 2 more antec sonatas for uniformity 😛

To do it right it will take a couple of hours. Make sure to use painters masking tape to protect the finish. If you mess up your screwed since the panel is not widely available like other Antec cases.

I have a window on my Sonata. Pics in Sig.

I guess you could get away with a jigsaw, but you should actually use a dremel (look it up on google) it's easier to use and gives a clearner cut

How did you do that? Do you need power tools like a jigsaw or something?

I used a Dremmel like akseli recommended. Since it's a steel case you'll need to get a decent pack of Dremmel metal cutting attachments. Mask the panel and outline a template on the tape(make sure to draw the hole slightly smaller then the window).
