Ok, I have to skype a family wedding in a couple weeks. The place is outside, and far enough from the building that running cat5 or anything would be very inconvenient and most likely wouldn't be allowed by the facility. So I have been looking at options. I can't tether from my phone, cause Sprint is working on the cell towers here, so the service has been very inconsistent for the past couple months.
My first thought was clear. I can get a USB devise and a month of service for about $100. That includes 3-6mb down, 1mb up, so roughly 3g speeds.
The other option I saw was netzero 4g. The site has a done a nice job of hiding their speeds, so I am unsure of what constitutes 4g for them. But a month of service and a usb device would cost me around $85.
Both maps show the area I will be in as having the service. Clear goes as far as showing me all the towers, two of which are within 3 miles and a third within 5. I looked at Verizon and Tmobile monthly, but both would cost me more cause of device prices.
Do any of you guys have experience with either of these? Would one be more reliable than the other? It has to last about 30-45 minutes(that's what she said).
Is there another option I am missing out on that would keep me at or below the $100 mark?
TIA
