New Bios revision ( F5 ) so I thought I'd try to see if I could maybe OC abit.. or something I guess I'm retarded. Anyways, for this motherboard there's a 2 pin connection, i've tried putting a small jumper pin on it.. etc. Now, I've tried to remove the battery and the power source for over a minute, still nothing is working, I just need to clear the CMOS to boot =(

Thanks...

I am not familar with that board but setting the CMOS to the clear position, unplugging the system, yanking the bat, then pressing the power button a couple times to ensure discharge, then waiting a minute and putting everything back should be ample to reset the defaults. You can try holding down the insert key while powering up too.

BTW, did it ever boot after the flash? If it did the above should work, if not it was obviously a bad flash.

Nah, I flashed from windows, then rebooted, checked the bios version.. everything was great, just thought I'd see if the new revision did anything for the OCability.. Guess I shouldn'tve. Going to try what you just suggested right now..

Your suggestion didn't help, but I had a hunch, so I pulled the power cord on the 9800 Pro.. usually there's this really loud beeping sound.. nothing.. not even a post beep. SO, I pulled out the card, put in a PCI video card, and she posted, powered down and put in the card again.

I've gotta say, this motherboard sure does suck. =/

Thanks though.

Hence why some 'round here have dubbed them Gigasuck ;) Sorry to hear the board is flakey with the new bios or that the AGP slot may be damaged. Try flashing back and if it is still borked RMA. If the next one is as Gigasucky :p get a refund if possible and buy another brand is my advice.

Everything seems fine.. HL2 runs just like it should ;) Yeaup I have a problem with this board and my memory..( XMS PC4000) I have to run it in single channel to get it to not have errors. BUT my IC7-G was flaking out and I had a 3500+.. this board was the only thing that was avail close at a decent price ;p
