I rarely listen to the radio but I am bored up here at work. So I turn on the radio to the Alt. rock station that has been around for years. Guess who is playing.

They definitely suck - but so does the rock station here who thinks they're so hard and cool, etc - then plays stuff like Puddle of Mullets, Nickelback, Bush, Offspring, AC/DC, etc all day and playing actual stuff that didn't come out in the '90's like every 4th or 5th song....it's horrible. I miss my CD player.

Agreed... I hate Creal Channel and Viacon (CBS). Radio sucks these days. I am forced to listen to college radios with death metal and some regular metal. Man can't these "new" teenagers grow up and listen to radios later? Same bastards threw O&A off the air. DAAAAAAAAAAMN YOOOOOU'S!!! DAAAAAAAM YOU ALLL TOOO HELLLLLL!!!!

Maybe thats because a huge portion of their target market is 10-20 year olds who fall in that age. Thats the type of music many of us like. Therefore, they try to please the majority. All of those bands you said rock!

What little money they do have, it'll be easier to get them to spend it.

Did you ever hear of Rev 105? Washington capitalists sponsoring the telecom act of 96 killed that excellent little station. The station director, Kevin Cole, played a little bit of everything from the genre of "good music." God, I loved that station. Their play list was huge, so it never got boring.

EDIT: Too bad you can't even start up a new radio station anymore. You need to buy one that's already operating.

Amen. Can anyone say: Overplayed stuff 24/7?

Last year, I couldnt drive ANYWHERE without hearing "How you remind me" at least once.

They also do billboards.
