Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this little doozy. A family member was asking me how to recover some disk space on a Win98 machine. My first thought was, of course, something along the lines of "get a new PC," but that's not an option right now. 🙂
One of the resources that are probably taking up some room are the files downloaded by Windows Update in order to actually install the updates. I can't remember where the files are located, but I have an inkling that it's in C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate. After the updates are installed, those files still stick around and I wanted to get pass along directions to get rid of them.
Does anyone know exactly where the Windows Update installed-files are located?
Many thanks!!
