after a few months of heavy use, and lots of fans sucking in truckloads of dust...my heatsink finally got clogged to the point where my temps sky rocketed.
i took it out today and the thingy was STUFFED with dust along the outer ring. there's no way my fan could have been sucking in air through that. anyways, i rinsed it out, blow-dryed, put some fresh arctic silver on, and now my temps have dropped 8C
before, my idles were in the low 50s
now i'm cruising at a cool 42c
