cleaning up apartment when moving out

hey, i'm moving out today, and for some reason i didn't hire a maid to do it for me.

I took at shot at the shower and there's some black stuff caked on the caulking that is very resistant. Is it worth going to target and trying different stuff to get it off (any suggestions) or should I just leave it?

That is, do they vastly overcharge for cleaning that kind of stuff if you leave it for the apartment managers?
 
They will most certainly gouge you for it. Try some straight up bleach on it and see what happens. Bleach will clean just about anything, sometimes too clean. Use softscrub on walls if they're painted with flat white paint like most apartments are.
 
make sure that place is as nice as it was when you moved in, if its not your going to get whacked for your security deposit.
 
Like Rogue said, use some spray bleach and let it sit on there it should kill it (its mold). The other thing you should REALLY do is take pictures right when you leave, and take one with todays newspaper in the middle of the floor so you can prove the date.

Apartments love to hit you up for all kinds of petty stuff that you should not be responsible for, so cover your ass with pictures. (walls, floors, inside of fridge, oven(s), etc)
