Cleaning softball bat?

I have this Nike alloy metal softball bat which has some dirty stains on it. I'm wondering if there's any special solution or care I need to be aware when cleaning it. I was thinking of trying to wipe it down with just water and some kind of soapy detergent. Any advice
 
The only kind of stains I could think of wanting to get off of a bat would be blood. Other than that, WTF, it's a bat! 😀
