Cleaning/Optimization/Registry/Memory Utilities

Is there a utility out there that can clean up your processes? For example, sometimes there are processes in your task manager that don't need to be ran, and sometimes there are ones that maybe could be corrupted and/or are using up more memory than they should. Is there a program that will clean up your processes?

Also, there are a ton of utilities out there that are supposed to clean up your system. What is the best one out there that will all-around clean your system (get rid of registry errors, wasted files, processes, etc.)? There's so many different ones out there that have different results when they scan.

I don't know of any program that cleans up or ends processes, but I use the following apps for everything else:

Crap Cleaner
Cleanup!
EasyCleaner

It's called XPG
However it's in the beta stage and I don't think the public has access to it yet (i do )

i am dealing with registry cleaners for a LONG time already, used to use jv16 powertools which is a VERY mighty tool but you need to know what you're doing.

Just yesterday i found two even BETTER and even more powerful registry-utilites and they might also be a bit safer than jv16.

I am using both alternating for registry cleanup../..but for FILE-cleaning i'd recommend CCleaner (Crapcleaner)
or use the one with Wintools Pro

I have to admit that those two registry cleaners are BETTER than jv16 because they found way more registry errors than jv16 and so far i didnt have any problems.

But jv16 also has itilities built in for cleaning files etc. and much more.

Be sure to make a system-restore in case things go wrong.

as for "cleaning processes"...there are various tools which allow you to select what programs get STARTED at boot, but this means you have to KNOW the programs/processes.

A utility just cant "kill" a process because it doesnt like a particular process you're running...it doesnt know what you/i think is necessary to run...
Also..instead of plain killing a running task its way better to check so that an unwanted task/program doesn't even get started in the first place.



But there is a tool (thinking)...WinTasks pro...where you see tasks and the description.

Easy/Quick fix is also type (startmenu) CMD ---> msconfig --> startup...there you see every TASK which is loaded at start,

You can look-up task-names on google and get information what it is.

But then there are also "services" which might run and you dont want them to run etc.....a good tool for EVERYTHING what is started
automatically is "autoruns" by sysinternals. Also..again...you need knowledge and then you can decide whether to include/exclude something.
Again, you might be at risk disabling IMPORTANT stuff eg. if a program/hardware need a specific task/service and you disable it.
