Cleaning off New CPU

I got some stuff to clean my processor off with from Arctic Silver and im wonder what I should use to whipe the processor off with. Do you think there is a need to clean a new processor?

Uh, I just use cheap paper towels, and blow the lint off afterwards... You could use like a lint free chamois cloth or something, but I don't really see any benefit of it. If there is no thermal stuff on the new CPU, then there is really not a need to. If it makes you feel better though, give it a quick once over with your arctic silver stuff, or some 80% Isopropyl Alcohol.

just use a Q tip, basically some cleaning material that will not leave fibres all over the IHS. If the CPU has no thermal paste on it, then there is no reason that you would want to clean it.
