Yesterday a buddy of mine asked me if I knew of any programs that would clean the cookies, history and temp files created by Netscape. I know nothing about Netscape... Does anyone know of a simple program that would clean Netscape?
I use Spider, but I don't know if it will do the job on Netscape also.

Thanks...

Windows Washer will do what you ask and more. But it costs money.

Someone mentioned recently that you can 'turn off' cookies in Edit> Preferences> Advanced Options and this will delete the cookie file when you exit the program. Then start Netscape and turn cookies 'on' again.

You can also clear your disk cache (history?) there.

the easiest way is to just go into netscape EDIT -> PREFERENCES -> ADVANCED -> CACHE -> CLEAR MEMORY CACHE and CLEAR DISK CACHE

foside is on the right track. But while your in preferences one should also clear out the history file and location bar under navigator. And far as the cookies goes I do believe all you have to do is delete the cookie.txt file from your user directory. Nutscrape will generate A new file the next time it starts. As far as a program to do this all, I don't know of one. But there are a few out there that will one or two of these things. Why would you need a program to do such a simple few steps? We all have to learn sometime.. Guru you should have expained how to do it manually.
