I recently resurrected my NES 8bit from the basement and I was wondering if anyone new of a good way to clean the game cartridges. I was going to just use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance

i don't think those cleaning kits worked.
NES was very tempermental about getting the proper angle for contact between the game and the console. the game genie fixed that pretty well though.

I never had any problems with my NES. I've seen on the internet people talking about the connectors getting rusty, but mine looks as good as the day I got it. I still have the box and all the manuals and stuff that it came with.![]()
Yeah, thinking back, I wish I had kept all of that stuff too. I used to keep all the boxes, but my mom made me throw them away.nice. i wish i saved the box and manuals to all my old NES games.
