Well I was spray painting something outside a few days ago and just relized today I got a lot of tiney drops of red paint of my glasses.

I was wondering if there is anyway to get the dots off. Would paint thinner work or would that ruin the lenses as well?

Thinner doesn't ruin glass (small bottles of thinner are almost always glass). So it shouldn't hurt the lenses. I dunno if it'd do anything to the frames though.

Cleaners might strip the UV coating off of lenses and depending on what they're made of might fuck them up.. this is a question better suited for your eye doctor.

I've gotten brake clean on my glasses by accident numerous times. Never had an issue. However, if your lenses have any kind of a scratch coating, or anti glare coating on them, I can't guarantee your results. I know that the lower end coatings are not very durable. At least in the past they weren't.

I would think any solvent would be fine keeping in mind the coating issue. Why not call the place you got them to be sure?

BTW, my lenses are plastic.
