'lo folks,

Was wondering if an infrared mouse needs cleaning. If so, how? I've got this unit that sometimes goes bonkers i.e. the pointer will act randomly. It's not really that old, just a few months old. I'm kinda dissapointed coz my other roller mouse is longer lasting than this.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I presume you mean optical mice, they don`t really need cleaning but you can blow away the dust that builds up on the sensor ( underneath base of the mouse) also using a good optical mouse pad like the Everglide Giganta Optical pad will give you the best possible tracking with your optical mouse.

Im using the free usa flag mouse pad that I got form the hotdeals forum and it works great, when of the pad the mouse has a mind of its own, so I call the pad its cage.
