Cleaning LCD Screens

At work we ordered a few new LCD screens. Now were working on rules for workers to follow with them. I remember reading at numerous places that windex and paper towels are a no go. However Dell's solution of a moisten cloth is not going to fly either. Looking at Officemax (we have to order from them), they have some pre-moisten screen cleaners, non-alcohol based and anti-static. Are these safe to use on LCD screens? If not can you suggest what pre-sealed wipes would be to use?

Get any soft lint free fabric. They can be washed so they are re-usable. Paper towers and some cheaper cloth are scratchy and will wear away the protective (usually anti-glare) coating on your LCD's faster.

I am not affiliated with them and I do not recommend ordering from them as I have never done so. However, near the bottom of that page are some tips on LCD cleaning which is good information.

Found this little FAQ somewhere so posting it verbatim. I dunno about that vinegar thing though...Personally I use a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol you can find in drug stores or most convenience stores) as that is cheap and readily available.

I bought a LCD cleaning kit for $2 (no rebates) on sale at Microcenter. I don't think the sale is going on anymore, when I saw it I'm like, $2? can't hurt to try it. Works well, I am pleased.
