cleaning hardware parts

when cleaning parts out of my comp (dusting off mobo, vid card, etc) are there any methods that seem to work really well or methods that i should avoid completely?

I use a can of compressed air and a vacuum to catch the dust bunnies as they fly. I've heard that if you use a vacuum directly on the PC there is a danger of static discharge between the soft brush on the vacuum attachment and your PC components and we all know that static disharge and PC components in the same sentence are not a good thing.

Un plug everything, & bring your case outside and use a leaf blower.. Lots of blowing power !!!

Jose

I got tired of buying cans of air and started using my shop-vac with the hose on the exhaust - LOTS OF AIR..........
