cleaning flat-panel monitor

I have a flat-panel monitor that is dirty. How should I go about cleaning it?

If you know someone who works in lab, kimwipes do the trick for me 😉

That sounds great but I dont have any friends in the lab and have no idea what kimwipes are.

I use that Endust for electronics stuff. Have used it on my laptops and CRTs for years. Works well.

Is there anything lying around the house that i can use to clean it or do i have to go buy something?

Kimwipes with what? Kimwipes are dry.
Since the cover is plastic only, I am hesitant of using solvent.

Swiffers and windex on a paper towel.Don't spray it on the monitor but on the paper towel and don't use so much that it runs down the screen😉

Hey...
Don't use any cleaning solutions on the display...might damge it. The best way is to get your self a good MicroFiber towel, and add a mist of water to the towel. Not the Display. If you don't have a MicroFiber towel, just use something that doesnt lint. Sweep the display with the grain not against it.

I use a cloth used for cleaning eyeglasses. Those generally work pretty well (microfiber cloths are the ones that Sunglass Hut sells).

Tissue is overkilled,
toilet paper is soft enough, won't cause any damage.

Heheh I do too, and the spray they give you. Works great. If it won't damage $300 Revo polarized lenses, should be fine for my monitor 🙂
