can i use lighter fluid to do this? what other household fluids could i use

99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Lighter fluid isn't a good idea.......

use the alcohol with q-tips or a lint-free cloth.

I don't think the 99% alcohol really matters although it is ideal. Whatever percent rubbing alcohol you have should work fine. If you dont, go to your local drug store/supermarket and get some, it should be about $1.

I had some 70% that didn't really work well. I then got some 93% which works fairly well.
