Hello, its come to the point where canned air is just not getting the job done. I have this dust film that will not blow of, what is the safest way to get this grim off.

Thank you
Jim

I would use anti-static wipes. Use one that claims to be safe on electronic components.

What in particular are you cleaning?

🙂Its mostly the cards, some of them have been in the system for years, we smoke and we have three cats, it gets ugly in there. any surface that is virtical looks ok, I try not to touch anything as much as I can, so over time it builds up. I'm getting ready to do a small upgrade, and perhaps this is the time to do the good cleaning.

Thanks
Jim

My computer is on casters, so I just roll it out to the garage and use our big ol' air compressor on it. Removes all grime and such! Works wonders! Much better than a small can of compressed air!

Moisture can be a problem if using an air compressor. Be careful!
