Cleaning CD and DVD disks

HI
What product or solutions and cloths can I use to clean Cd's and DVD's?
My grand kid somehow got her hands on my (and her parents) DVD's and other disks and there are fingerprints and other sticky things on them now!! ( I know, I should be watching her better!! LOL)
Also, though the years, I have put some small scratches on the disks. Are there any decent products that will remove light to moderate scratches?
Thanks

Rubbing alcohol is generally better than water, since it won't leave mineral residue when it evaporates (only a problem, and a minor one at that, if you have very hard water). Water works, though. Definitely wipe inside to outside in a straight line with a lint-free cloth.

For scratch removal, there are a couple scratch removal kits you can get that include a filler/polisher compound that is supposed to help clean up surface scratches. You can probably find some reviews if you google it...
