Pure cotton cloth dampened with water.

Don't use any cleaner liquids other than water

You can do some keyword searches around here and find several posts on this topic if you want more opinions

turn it off before you clean it!
you can use non-ammonia cleaners (void your warranty if you do), those compounds explicity designed for cleaning electronics are usually propyl-alchol based.

Rubbing alcohol will eventually turn some screens yellow. Some, not all. And later, not sooner.

Best thing to use is plain water and a soft, lint-free cloth. Make the cloth slightly damp, then gently wipe the screen. Of course make sure the laptop is turned off before you do it.

I just toss it in the dishwasher.

Of course, it doesn't work afterwards, but that screen IS clean!
