Cleaning a scanner

So I got a new scanner yesterday. I bought it used (pristine condition) and I'd like to know what should I use to clean the glass surface. I know there are some fluids that can really hurt the surface and leave marks.

Any ideas?

an optical store and get some Lens cleaner ...I got 50 for $2.49...people use alcohol as well

Never noticed any film - like the crows on TV says -"I didn't see that window at all!"

I also use Polaroid lens cleaner in a spritz bottle - basically for eye glasses and lenses. The chemical composition is alchohol and water - no ammonia.
